The company recently honored an impressive collection of over 1,700 combined years of service.
On Wednesday, November 8, Welch Senior Living associates from across the South Shore and beyond gathered to honor colleagues for their years of service milestones at Welch Senior Living.
During the annual Associate Recognition Dinner and Awards Celebration, held at Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, associates were recognized for their time dedicated to the company in five-year increments up to forty-five years of service.
Locally based and family-owned for over four generations, Welch Senior Living has been trusted by seniors and their families since 1949. Welch Senior Living associates focus on providing top-level care in service-enriched residential options including assisted living residences, senior independent living communities, assisted living memory care residences, and home care, with the continuing founding philosophy to make residents feel part of a family.
Carrying on this legacy today are family members who were present for the celebration such as current Welch Senior Living President Paul T. Casale Sr., past Welch Senior Living President Richard Welch, and third-generation family members Paul T. Casale Jr., Welch Senior Living Executive Vice President, Leanne Welch, Welch Senior Living Community Relations Director, and Laurie Welch-Guthrie, MSW, LCSW, CDP, Regional Memory Care Coordinator, and Senior Social Worker.
Casale Jr. led the ceremonies that saluted nearly 200 employees who contributed over 1,700 years of total service to the company. In addition to these award recipients, 2022-2023 “Associates of the Quarter” were also honored.
“Tonight, we are here together to acknowledge the tireless dedication, unwavering commitment, and exceptional contributions of you all who make our communities not just a place to reside, but creating a warm, caring, and vibrant community our residents call home,” said Casale Jr. “This awards dinner is not just a testament to the hard work you all do, but also a reflection of the values we hold dear as an organization. We understand that it takes a great Team to create a truly exceptional community for our Residents. You are the heart and soul of Welch Senior Living, and we are proud to have you as part of the Welch family.”
Following an invocation led by Pastor Seth Andreson, Casale Jr. presented each award recipient with a special commemorative pin detailing their years of service.
Also honored during the ceremony were Ellen Laramee, former Welch Senior Living Regional Nursing Director, and Joyce Watson O’Neil, Welch Senior Living’s former Regional Memory Care Coordinator. Both recently retired, Laramee and Watson O’Neil were awarded Swarovski crystal pineapples as a Lifetime Achievement Award for their countless contributions and long-standing commitment to Welch Senior Living.
After the conclusion of the awards presentation, associates were invited to celebrate together in a 360-photo booth and on the dance floor.
