Networking Event Highlights Importance of Senior Living Options and Care

Sep 15, 2015

Celebrating its fifth anniversary, Village at Proprietors Green, Marshfield’s premier rental retirement community, recently held its Annual Lobster Bake Networking and Thank-You event for professionals. Close to 80 healthcare and business professionals enjoyed a classic feast of lobster, clam chowder and seasonal favorites. Among those catching up with colleagues or touring the community were professionals from area hospitals, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, visiting nurse associations, elder law offices and home care agencies. Many among the Welch Group’s own nursing and social work staff attended the event.

Managed by Welch Healthcare & Retirement Community, Village at Proprietors Green offers independent living, assisted living and memory care in three distinct neighborhoods. The continuing care retirement community features spacious apartments with high-end finishes, a living room with fireplace, private dining room, library, theater and fitness center as well as on-site physical therapy. Residents enjoy chef-prepared meals, a range of amenities, exciting on-site activities and social outings. The community features seaside décor in pastels and impeccably appointed common areas and spaces for family gatherings.

“For five years Village at Proprietors Green and the town of Marshfield have grown together, sharing in a wide variety of social, educational and recreational programs that enrich both our residents and the community,” says Colleen Ferguson, executive director at Village at Proprietors Green. Ferguson adds that the event is a way to acknowledge the many professionals who play a role in ensuring quality senior care and housing.
