Dr. Antonia F. Chen, MBA, Director of Research, Orthopaedic Arthroplasty Service, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, came to Village at Proprietors Green to talk about the treatment options for individuals with hip and knee arthritis. Nearly 60 individuals listened intently as Dr. Chen explained the various kinds and causes of arthritis, and how best to weigh one’s options between non-surgical and surgical treatments. It’s estimated that by the year 2025 nearly 67 million people will be living with some form of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is the most common form of the disease.
The presentation “What Should You Do If You Have Hip and Knee Arthritis?” is part of a series of ongoing healthcare programs offered by the senior living community.
