Teamwork is at the heart of Village at Proprietors Green annual Holiday Boutique fundraiser, featuring arts and crafts made and donated by residents and staff of the Marshfield senior living rental retirement community. This year “the team” gathered to present a check for $1,660 to Magic Moon Foundation Founder and Director Donna Green from the boutique sales during the holidays. The charitable organization is dedicated to the support of children and families who are coping with cancer. According to Magic Moon, the non-profit foundation empowers “children to use their inner strengths to manifest miracles in their lives.”
For residents of the senior living community, the fundraiser is a labor of love – with the planning and work to create the crafts beginning in January for the traditional December event. Nothing makes the residents and staff at Village at Proprietors Green happier than being part of the larger community, according to Executive Director Colleen Ferguson. “Residents here are active, engaged and full of purpose,” adds Ferguson.
