Author and Actress Marianne Leone shares her New Book with the Marshfield COA as part of their Pub Chat Series.
Actress and author Marianne Leone’s Ma Speaks Up: And a First Generation Daughter Talks Back is a story of Leone’s outspoken and often outrageous Italian immigrant mother.
Leone, a Kingston resident, was a recent speaker at the Marshfield Council on Aging LifeLong Learning program Pub Chat Series, hosted by Village at Proprietors Green. Her memoir is filled with warmth, wit, and humor. Certainly, Leone’s remembrances will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced life as an “outsider.” And of course, it will hit a chord with all mothers and daughters.
The author, also an acclaimed actress, had a recurring role in HBO’s The Sopranos and has appeared in several films, including Joy and Goodfellas.
